By creating an account or using Anjo, you agree to these terms. Please read them.

What Anjo is

Anjo is an AI companion — a conversational product powered by large language models. It is not a therapist, counselor, doctor, or emergency service. It is not a real person. Conversations with Anjo are not a substitute for professional mental health support.

If you are in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services in your country.

Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Anjo.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• One account per person. Do not share accounts.
• You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Anjo to:

• Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or abuse the underlying AI systems.
• Automate conversations with scripts or bots to consume resources unfairly.
• Generate content that is illegal, harmful, or intended to harass others.
• Circumvent rate limits, billing, or access controls.
• Resell or sublicense access to Anjo.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.

Payments and subscriptions

• Paid subscriptions (Pro, Premium) are billed monthly and renew automatically.
• Message credit packs are one-time purchases and do not expire.
• All payments are processed by FastSpring. By subscribing you also agree to FastSpring's terms of service.
• Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to subscribers.

Free tier

The free tier (20 messages per day) is provided as-is. We may change or discontinue the free tier at any time with reasonable notice.

AI-generated content

Anjo's responses are generated by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate, inconsistent, or unexpected. We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any response. You use Anjo's output at your own discretion.

You retain ownership of the content you send to Anjo. We do not claim ownership of your messages.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages, or third-party API issues may cause temporary unavailability. We are not liable for losses arising from downtime.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anjo and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Anjo and delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will notify you by email (if on file) of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan (Republic of China). Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Taiwan.
