Memory Across Time

It keeps working after you leave.

Most AI memory is a lookup: it fetches what you said. Anjo also runs a reflection pass once the conversation is over — rereading it, updating what it holds about you, and recording what moved. That is the part you cannot see happening, and the part that makes the next conversation different.

The part you do not see

Retrieval is the easy half.

Every product with “memory” can look something up. The difference is what happens between conversations. When a session ends — or when it has simply gone quiet for a while — Anjo runs a multi-pass reflection over the transcript that changes what it holds.

It extracts

Concrete facts, the people who came up, the moments worth keeping. Superseded facts are retired rather than left to contradict the new ones.

It re-reads emotionally

Your register at the start and end of the conversation, what the session left behind, and how the relationship state should move — within bounded limits, never in jumps.

It rewrites the map

Your Inner World pages are updated and cross-linked, and one linked neighbour page can be revised in light of what is new — so old pages age instead of freezing.

This is why session twenty is not session one with a longer transcript. The state Anjo brings to a conversation is the product of every reflection before it, and each element of it carries the session it came from. How receipts work →

Measured

A benchmark score we withdrew.

We published a LongMemEval-S retrieval score for this memory, then found that the harness behind it could count a miss as a hit. The score is withdrawn until the corrected harness re-runs all 500 questions. The memory itself did not change; the claim did.

How It Works

How a moment becomes memory.

Talk naturally

You chat or speak with Anjo about whatever is on your mind.

Extract signal

Anjo reflects on important themes, facts, preferences, and emotional patterns.

Update memory

Useful context becomes structured memory you can inspect and correct.

Return later

Future conversations can draw on what matters without repeating your life story.

Design Principles

What makes Anjo different from a stateless chatbot.

The product is built for continuity, privacy, and user control without pretending to read hidden feelings.

Continuity

Anjo keeps relevant context so a later conversation can have a past.

Patterns over time

Anjo can connect recurring themes and show where an interpretation came from.

Visible memory

Your Inner World turns memory into something you can inspect instead of a hidden black box.

Memory is valuable when you can feel it, inspect it, and change it.

FAQ

Quick answers

Does Anjo remember everything?

No. Anjo is designed to preserve useful context, not to make every sentence equally permanent.

Can I see what Anjo remembers?

Yes. Your Inner World exposes memory as a private map rather than hiding it entirely inside the model.

Is this therapy?

No. Anjo is AI for conversation, reflection, and emotional continuity, not a therapist, medical device, or crisis service.
